What they actually do is block access to your storefronts during the festivals, they invite outside vendors, place loud & obstructing equipment that drives away your customers, and they go into your pockets.

Just ask around the neighborhood. Many have complained since the festival, several merchants LOST business. Outside vendors made lots of money.
