Great missed point – we as merchant owners ALREADY are FORCED to pay for private sanitation – hence a BID is redundant – double charging us! The festivals are NOT FREE!

Our politicians and the BID committee don’t want you to think – “oh its just $80” but WAITTTTTTTT we ALREADY are mandated to pay for this – why do we have to pay again for the SAME services?
AH HA – we found what they are afraid oh – US realizing the actual costs!

“I think we should talk about what we already pay!
For example we pay private sanitation- $36 a week
An employee each day to clean outside the store- $15 a day
$450 to participate in the festivals that THAT ARE NOT FREEthis totals over $7200 a year that we already pay to keep streets clean and participate in festivals.. not to mention the festivals make us lose business due to street closures.
Makes our argument stronger since all the politicians try to act like it’s “only $80”, making the non business owners think all of us business owners are “cheap and that we don’t care about the neighborhood”
